Hi there and welcome to the Mind’s Eye London. My name is Michelle Hill and I am the director and founder of The Mind’s Eye London. I trained at the prestigious London School of Clinical Hypnotherapy (LCCH) and I specialise in Fertility Hypnosis, Vaginismus and Hypertension control and Hypnobirthing. I was trained in the Katharine Graves Hypnobirthing School (KGH), in which I am qualified to teach other students wanting to become a KGH Hypnobirther. I am also a Reiki practitioner and a Swedish massage therapist. I became a hypnotherapist to be able to help people on such a deeper level; covering a range of different treatments. I myself have had hypnotherapy for a number of issues and was so amazed at how much it has changed my life.

Hypnotherapy was my last resort to be honest and I did not know much about it; I only went to please my partner. Other methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other forms of therapy did not work for me. I had a negative view on hypnotherapy and was so sure that it wouldn’t work, as other therapies had not.

Even sitting in the hypnotherapy chair during my session, I initially thought to myself “This is not working”, and I wanted to get up and leave, but I decided to stay. I have to admit that I was wrong! I was shocked and amazed with the results. Hypnotherapy has helped me in so many ways and I also wanted to help others; bringing hypnosis to the forefront as many do not understand it.

I work from two locations; one in the heart of London and one in North London. I fully appreciate that not everyone can afford central London therapy prices and my aim is to provide as much help and guidance to both ends of the financial spectrum.

About Hypnosis

We all go in and out of hypnosis daily without even realising it. For example: When we are driving, just before we fall asleep, just as we wake up and even when we meditate.

Hypnosis is completely safe and natural. You will remain conscious and completely in control at all times and will still be able to hear, speak and move as normal. Hypnosis is a state of complete relaxation of mind and body.

About Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy utilises the state of hypnosis to bypass the critical conscious mind and communicate directly with the unconscious or subconscious mind, using positive direct suggestions, which help to change your mind set.

What happens during a hypnotherapy session?

The first session will usually last between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes; comprising of an initial consultation allowing you to ask any relevant questions or raise any concerns and putting your mind at ease. This also provides me the opportunity to gain an in depth knowledge of the problem(s) that you are experiencing. Gaining a thorough understanding of your situation, as well as what you are looking to achieve in which I will tailor your therapy sessions to suit you.

The initial session will end with relaxation and breathing techniques, a hypnotic induction with a guided instruction, as well as self-hypnosis; which will give you the tools to utilise these techniques at anytime.

Subsequent hypnotherapy sessions will be tailored to you individually, as we are all individuals and deal with each situation differently.  Sessions are usually between 1 hour and 1 hour 15 minutes.

How many sessions will I need?

On average, I usually see a patient 3 to 4 times per symptom, but sometimes more or less sessions are required.

Hypnotherapy is an effective form of therapy, but it also depends upon your willingness, motivation and desire to change. Before each session, we will discuss your progress since the last session; it is then that we can make a valued judgement about how your therapy session is progressing. If one technique is not working for you, then please do not worry. We will work together to find a technique that does. After your first session, I usually see patients on average once a week; depending on their circumstances.

Can anybody be hypnotised?

Yes, anyone can be hypnotised, as long as they want to be, so there is no physical reason why everyone cannot be put in to a hypnotic state, but there may be psychological reasons that someone is resistant to being hypnotised, which might make it difficult for that person to relax enough to enter a true hypnotic state.*

*Please note that results vary individually and there is no guarantee of success.

Cancellations

I fully understand that sometimes situations arise which mean that we have to cancel appointments; children are poorly, buses/train delays, family issues etc. We’ve all been there.  Whilst I would honestly love to be able to accommodate these unforeseen circumstances, I am not able to run my practice for free. The costs of having a practice in Central London are high. If you need to cancel, the full session fee is charged with less than 24 hours notice. Rescheduled fees may apply. Thank you for understanding.
